🌴 A tiny seed today… a beautiful palm tree tomorrow! 🌱
Growing a palm tree from seed isn't a race. It's a journey that requires warmth, moisture, and patience. ⏳
In Step 1 of this palm-growing series, I'll show you how I prepare palm seeds for germination using a simple container method.
💧 STEP 1 — SOAK THE SEEDS
Soaking the seeds for up to two weeks can help soften the seed coat and may encourage faster germination.
🔄 Don't forget to change the water every couple of days and use fresh water.
🪴 STEP 2 — PREPARE THE CONTAINER
Fill a plastic container about halfway with premoistened small wood chips or a suitable growing medium.
🌱 Rinse the seeds and place them one by one into the medium. Gently press them down and cover them.
💦 STEP 3 — ADD MOISTURE
Use a spray bottle to add moisture without making the growing medium excessively wet.
Then close the lid.
The container now acts like a mini greenhouse, helping maintain humidity around the seeds. 🌱💧
⏳ NOW… BE PATIENT!
Palm seeds can take weeks, months, or even longer depending on the species.
And when that first little root finally appears?
🤩 That's the moment every seed grower waits for!
